This is one of my favorite pics lately. You might not be able to tell in this small pic, but when it is regular size, it is just too sweet! I just love it. Jason is such a good daddy. He loves spending time with the kids...all of them. He just bought a kayak, and took Megan, Kailyn, and Jonathan out the first day. He had already taken Allison when he rented one a few weeks ago. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful man, friend, and husband. (All rolled up in one person, too! LOL) I love him with all my heart...

A few weeks ago, we went to Bellows Air Force Station (yes, station not base). For anyone heading to HI, we fully recommend their cabins for rent. They have nice cabins, a great beach, playground, mini-golf, a rec center with activites and lessons throughout the week, etc. It is great! We intend on spending a week or so there this summer before Jason deploys. It is really nice. Anyway, here are some pics of our day on the beach there. The waves were 3-5 feet, which is great for boogie-boarding! Lots of fun! Here's Jason taking Austin boogie-boarding. He liked it, but said he didn't want to go again! LOL
Here's Kailyn and Megan and Austin trying to catch some ripples. They were a bit intimidated of the waves crashing a few feet away.
Here, Jonathan wouldn't leave the dry sand. He loves when we go to the lagoons, where there are no waves, but he won't even think about getting in with the waves! Of course, Allison had her share of boogie-boarding in the waves with her daddy. But after getting pushed under a couple of times, she had to take a break too.

Well, the kids were out of school from the holidays until Jan.16, so we tried to do a couple of special things ith them. One of the things we did was the Honolulu Zoo. It is by no means a big first class zoo, but it was still fun. Allison and Kailyn didn't have as much fun as the little ones, but they still enjoyed it. The biggest excitement of the day was the chimpanzees. While we were watching them, the had a HUGE "gang fight". I mean they all ganged up on one chimp and tore him up. They woudl all be running and jumping all over him, chasing in around the exhibit. They would all bark and chant together. It was really humerous to think that people do the same thing. (think back to high school when a fight would break out and everyone woudl crowd around and yell fight, fight, fight!) We couldn't help but to laugh about it, even though the poor guy was getting beat up. At one point one of them charged the glass wall that we were standing at. Needless to say, most everyone at the zoo came running to watch the fight. Here's a few pics from the day...This one was a fish pool. There was a tunnel that the kids went in toget in the middle of the pool. Jonathan was not so sure about it at first, but then he liked it. Austin LOVED it. They were funny.
In the petting zoo, Austin saw that Jason had the camera, so he grabbed this little goat. He put him in a head lock and said "Say CHEESE!" This boy is not afraid of anything!
Here we all are. We came upon this perfect rock to take some pics.
There is no other excuse. I have neglected my blog....one of my New Years resolutions was going to be to keep it updated more often. Guess I blew that one right away, huh? Oh well. Life just tends to fly past sometimes. When I do get to sit on the computer for a bit, it is usually just to check email and Craigslist (my NEW obsession!). Anyway, I have some new pics to post and new stories to tell, so keep watching for them to come...

Here's a few pics of our Santa stash! I must say, the Red Man did pretty good this year! LOL Kailyn and Megan got the doll house, Allison got the chair and guitar, the boys got the tool bench, AND they all got the air hockey table from Grandma and Grandpa delivered special from Santa. It was a good Christmas even though we were thousands of miles from family. Miss you all!!!
And then, here is the Christmas aftermath.....LOOK at all that TRASH!!!! LOL It took 5 times longer for me to reclaim my livingroom than it took the kids to trash it with all the unwrapping! LOL
