new happenings

So I have been a little slack on blogging lately. But, I guess I basically didn't feel like writing about "nothing". Thats pretty much what has been going on around here. Same old stuff mostly. I did have to pull Austin out of HeadStart this week. We have had such a hard time with his separation anxiety for a while now. It got really bad for the last couple of weeks, and last week I just had enough. The teachers were doing nothing with him and I had been getting that "oh no, Austin's here" feeling when i arrived to drop him off. If I was getting that feeling, then you know he was certainly feeling it as well. That sure couldn't have helped with his insecurity at all. Anyway, he is out of it now. We will see what happens now. We had already started the paperwork process to get him into the special needs pre-k on post anyway, so we will just have to see how long it takes. He is still 1 1/2 yrs away from having to be in school, so I am not too concerned right now.

Also, the boys had their 1st Little Ninjas class today. It is a TaeKwonDo class for 3-5 yr olds. It was so wonderful! Jonathan was a little scared about it at first, but he LOVED it. He was so into it during the whole class. And Austin was into it as well. Jonathan wanted to know why he couldn't go to class everyday. LOL I think it is going to be great for them. I will add pics later.

Kailyn and Megan are starting a Musical Theater class next week on wednesday. They are looking forward to it too. Allison isn't going to take any classes right now. She wants to take a cooking class, but they haven't approved the contract for it yet. Hopefully once they do, she wil get to do something too.

On wednesday, I went out to a Deployment Casino Night. It was wonderful! There was free childcare, free food, and free gambling! What more can you ask for? LOL Its just one of the perks to my husband being deployed...yeah, somehow it doesn't compare, but anyway...the MWR is doing special deployment things every month to help ease with stresses, etc during the year of deployment. This time, they had a casino party for us. There was a craps table, roulette, blackjack, poker, slot machine, and bingo. Everyone got $500 of fake money to gamble with all night. I found that I love roulette! Jamie and I camped out at the roulette table most of the night. It was so much fun! Next month is Mai Tais and Makeovers. i am definitely going to be there! Looking forward to it!

On friday, Jamie and I had a day of shopping. We wanted to help support the economy, so we put our best foot (and credit card) forward to help the cause! LOL Here's a couple of pics from the NEX.
